Flame Retardant Supplier — Additives, Sourced and Burn-Verified

Rectivas Materials is a sourcing and technical partner for flame retardant additives: we select the chemistry, arrange samples and burn verification at partner factories in Hebei, China, and coordinate production and shipping. We do not own a plant, and we say so up front — which is also the advantage: not being tied to one line, we match the system to your resin and standard rather than to one factory’s product list. This page covers what we supply, how we prove it, and what to send us to get a sample moving.

01 / 06Who Makes It

Named partner factories, not an anonymous listing.

Material is produced at named partner factories in Hebei Province — part of North China’s established plastics and chemical manufacturing corridor. Factory details and certificates are available on request.

ENTITY

Rectivas Materials

ISO 9001 quality management systems held by the factories we source from, with certificates available on request.

EQUIPMENT

Twin-Screw Compounding

Formulations run on our partner factory’s SHJ-75 twin-screw extruder — the same line used to compound every additive package we quote.

TESTING

Partner Factory Burn Lab

UL94 vertical burn chamber at the partner factory, used to verify every formulation before we quote it — not just read off someone else’s datasheet.

Custom formulation, packaging and order sizes.

Every project starts with your resin and target rating, not a fixed catalog SKU.

01

Custom Formulation

Systems are matched to your resin, process and standard — not sold as one-size-fits-all.

02

Packaging & Labeling

Bags, drums and export packaging can be discussed to your specification for bulk orders.

03

Sample-First Process

Every new formulation starts with a sample for your own burn testing before a bulk commitment.

04

Do not take our word for it — here is how to check.

Every supplier says they are the factory. The claim is worth nothing on its own, so here are four checks that separate a real production line from a well-written page. They work on us, and they work on whoever else you are comparing us with.

Ask For ThisWhy It Is Hard to Fake
A live video walk through the partner factory during working hoursPhoto packs and edited videos are easy to source. A live walk on request, where you choose what to look at, is not. Ask to see the extruder running and the burn lab in the same call.
The batch record for a lot number you already holdThis is the strongest single question. A trading company cannot produce production records for material it did not make. Ask for it on a lot you have already received.
A sample from a line-produced lot, not a lab batchLab-made samples flatter dispersion. Ask which lot it came from, and whether the same equipment will make your production order.
A straight answer on regulatory exposureAsk which of their grades face restriction proposals. We will tell you that DBDPE sits inside the scope ECHA is preparing a dossier on. A supplier who claims none of their products carry any horizon is not reading the files.

On lead time and switching cost, since neither usually appears on a supplier page. Lead time depends on whether the grade is standard or a developed formulation, and on sea freight to your port — ask for both the production window and the shipping window as separate numbers, because quoting them combined hides which one is the risk. And when you price a switch, the real cost is rarely the price difference: it is re-qualification. Burn testing at your wall thickness, a production trial, and possibly re-certification if the part carries a listing. Work that figure out before you negotiate per kilo, because it frequently exceeds the saving.

Where we are not the right answer. If you need a commodity grade in tonnage, tomorrow, and price is the only variable, a distributor holding local stock will beat us on lead time and minimum order. We earn our place when the formulation has to be developed, matched to a standard, or held consistent across years of repeat production. The full audit checklist — written from the perspective of what we would check if we were auditing ourselves — is in auditing a flame retardant supplier.

06 / 06FAQ

Questions buyers ask before sourcing.

Is Rectivas a flame retardant manufacturer or a trading company?

Neither label fits cleanly, so here is the accurate answer: we are a sourcing and technical partner. We do not own the production line — material is compounded at partner factories in Hebei that hold their own ISO 9001 certification, and we handle formulation selection, sample arrangement, burn verification and export. What that means for you: you get a technical counterpart who can match chemistry to your resin and standard, and who is not tied to one factory’s product list. What it also means: if you need to audit the production site or hold the manufacturer’s certificate directly, say so and we will arrange it rather than stand in the way.

Does Rectivas offer OEM or private label flame retardant additives?

Custom packaging and labeling can be discussed for bulk orders. Tell us your requirements at the RFQ stage so we can confirm feasibility for your specific project.

What is the minimum order quantity for flame retardant additives?

Trial and sample quantities are discussed per project rather than fixed to one number, since they depend on the system and packaging format. Tell us your target volume when you inquire and we will confirm what is workable.

Can I request a sample before placing a bulk order?

Yes — sample requests are the normal starting point for a new formulation. Send your resin, target rating and application, and we will propose a system and arrange a sample for your own burn testing.

Can Rectivas supply flame retardant additives factory-direct, without a trading intermediary?

Yes — inquiries are handled directly with our commercial team, and orders ship directly from the producing factory. There is no added trading-company layer in the standard process.

What flame retardant certification and documentation does Rectivas provide?

Every shipment carries our TDS, SDS and batch COA, issued under the ISO 9001 systems of the factories we source from. Third-party Test Reports and SDS Reports are available through an accredited laboratory against specific batches. Note that product-level certifications like a UL Yellow Card apply to your finished compound, not to the additive alone — we support those programs with formulation data and pre-screening (UL94, LOI) at our partner factory’s burn lab so your certification submission passes the first time.
